21 Websites Every Webmaster Has Visited
There’s many websites out there that offer a great benefit to the website owners and each webmaster has visited each site at least once in there online career, if you haven’t visited these sites yet then I suggest you do. As we are in the search engine optimization and link building business some of these sites focus on that topic, but if you are a webmaster then these sites should interest you.

1.Google.com/webmasters/tools/
Google will provide you with information on your site which you then use to improve your website, its also a good place to check after doing any major changes to your site.
2.Google.com/adwords/
At some point in your online career I’m sure you have used a PPC campaign like google adwords, most website owners start off with google adwords as its a trustworthy place to start.
3.Google.com/adsense/
I know the first three sites are to do with google but again the majority of website owners have used adsense as they have heard stories about webmasters earning a living off of adsense alone.
4.Youtube.com/user/GoogleWebmasterHelp
You probably have visited youtube at some point but alot of users have watched one or two of Matt Cutts videos as they are up to date and relevant to webmasters.
5.Ezinearticles.com
Its a high pageranked article directory (pagerank 6) with a lot of high pageranked inner pages (ezinearticles.com/?cat=Internet-and-Businesses-Online) which uses the dofollow attribute and passes weight from its website to yours. Part of running and owning a website is promoting it and building links whilst promoting your site and its content.
6.Digg.com
This is a social bookmarking site and I’m sure you have used or visited a similar one like reddit, delicous or stumbleupon. These sites are a great way to promote your content and gain immediate traffic which could result in sales or inbound links.
7.Facebook.com
Lets face it if you don’t have a personal account you have a business account or page promoting your content, why? because its one of the biggest cattle fields online
8.Wordpress.com
Its the 17th most popular website on the Internet according to alexa.com, you probably have a blog somewhere which is run on the worlds most popular blogging platform.
9.Alexa.com
This is the ever popular traffic rank website which gives sites a rank based on the traffic they receive, it is also a subsidiary of amazon.com
10.Blogger.com
Some people start off on blogger before setting up there own blogs, others use it as a way of promotion to build a relevant link back to there site and share there content.
11.BBC.co.uk
News sites are important as they hold the information about important changes to search engines, whats happening in your niche, the economy. If you haven’t been on this particular news site then I’m sure you have been on another like Fox or CNN.
12.Ebay.co.uk
This one mainly applies to website owners who sell products, eBay is a great way to promote products, gain extra sales whilst building a name for yourself. When I list eBay items I make a donation to a charity through eBay giving me extra exposure.
13.Bing.com
This site is supposed to represent the search engines as a whole, everyone has used a search engine weather it google, yahoo, live or bing.
14.Paypal.com
Again this is one of the most popular money gateways, you probably would have used paypal at some or any of the other payment gateways.
15.Godaddy.com
This one is a bit of an obvious one, if you own a website then the chances are you registered the domain yourself and you would of used a company like godaddy.
16.Twitter.com
As soon as twitter hit the web people flocked to it and it has turned into one of the popular places to promote your content and build a following of loyal subscribers interested in what you have to say.
17.Alibaba.com
Again this one applies to users selling products, Alibaba is supposed to put you in contact with suppliers all round the world but from my experience most of the products listed are fakes or copies.
18. Wikipedia.com
Its the online encyclopedia of everything, it also tells you about reputable websites and is a good place to get your site listed. I have stumbled across this site and its resources many times when searching up topics online.
19. LinkedIn.com
This website is a great social networking sites and any true professional will have themselves listed here or in similar places.
20. Aweber.com
E-mail marketing is an important tool for any online business as it helps drum up sales and exposure. Most website owners use aweber or a similar service as sending a large number of e-mails from your own server can have disadvantages.
21. HSBC.co.uk
Most online businesses use online banking as it saves a lot of time visiting the bank in person and is a great way to stay on top of your finances.
