Do You Really Need To Use The Nofollow Attribute On Your Links
I have been in the search engine optimization field for many years, infact I cant actually remember how long its been now but Its definitely longer than 7 years. Over the years I have seen many changes in the search engines algorithm and professional seos need to stay up to date with them which is what we do at relevantlinks.eu.
Many seos have said that you should add nofollow attributes to some of your internal links stopping google from visiting those pages or links. For example many seos say that you don’t need google crawling your contact us page and about us page but this information is wrong. Just because you might not have any relevant content on that page or think google wont find it interesting well it actually does. Every page on your site is important and if google doesn’t think its important then it wont index it, I seriously wouldn’t worry about using nofollow on your internal links. Another reason seos say use the nofollow tag is it allows you to control the flow of pagerank around your site and in the short term it might have some benefit but in the long run its a waste of your time.
The only time you should use the nofollow tag is when you link to outside sites where you cant always check there reputation, so in order to look after your own sites reputation you should use the nofollow tags.
